Providing financial support for our local libraries.
Our Mission Statement
- Raise money to enrich the facilities of and programs offered by Kaʻū public libraries beyond the scope of the libraries' ordinary budgets.
- Increase community engagement with Kaʻū public libraries.
- Encourage and accept by bequest or gift, donations of books, manuscripts, money, and other appropriate material that can enrich the cultural opportunities available to the people of Kaʻū.
We are a Not-For-Profit Organization Affiliated with the State of Hawaii Friends of the Libraries Organization.

We are a membership organization run by volunteers. We offer lifetime memberships at $30, which entitles you to a 10% discount on logo merchandise over $15. You can become a member by visiting one of our libraries or our booth at the market.
Feel free to reach out to us if you feel so inclined to help make a difference, together we can grow. Honestly we really hope to find people that are interested in helping, don’t be shy, no qualifications are necessary. We can find a fun task for you! There is book cleaning, sorting, transporting, setting up, servicing in the booth, breaking down and transporting again.
